Exploring Our Community

Field Trips

All Saints’ Episcopal Day School, on the quiet grounds of All Saints’ Episcopal Church, enjoys a unique location in Austin. Our central campus is perfectly situated for manageable field trips to any local area of educational interest. All Saints’ schedules several off-campus field trips for our classes each year and integrate these experiences with themes and curriculum taught to our students in the classroom. With help from our parent volunteers, places such as the the Austin Zoo, the Zach Theater, Crowe’s Nest Farm, Elgin Christmas Tree Farm, and nearby Central Market have been exceptional opportunities for our children to first experience how the classroom can open up the world around them.

Nearby Excursions

Additionally, located within the larger footprint of the University of Texas, All Saints’ Episcopal Day School resides in an area established as safe and pedestrian-friendly enough for young children to walk to a variety of experiences within a short distance of the school. Our adjacency to the University of Texas allows our students a unique educational experience within an energetic hub of various people, places, and activities. All Saints’ classes have taken trips to the nearby UT Turtle Pond, Student Union, Texas Memorial Museum, the Scottish Rite dormitory, as well as to the local community fire station and post office.

Visitors From Our School Community

All Saints’ is also fortunate to have a community of parents that is involved across a broad spectrum of experiences and professional fields. Parents and community members are often invited into the classroom to share experiences and lessons related to subjects explored in the classroom.
